I love the Guerlain Meteorites (balls)and found this compact in Europe while on a business trip and on special! So basically I talked myself into this guilty pleasure by justifying the fact that my trip was paid for since it was business, so therefore I could treat myself to this rather expensive compact.The compact itself is absolutely gorgeous. It comes in a black flannel bag to keep it scratch-free. The powder itself works as well as the Guerlain Meteorites Powder for the Face 01 Mythic powder line. The various colors are easily picked up by a brush and transferred to the face. The colors create a subtle, luminous sheen to your complexion.This is the most expensive compact I've ever purchased or ever will and I love it for its beauty and for the product!

I purchased this powder not long ago. While I love the powder itself, the refillable insert that was put in the compact was not put in properly and now my powder has mostly broken up. I hope that this is not because of being carried in a purse, because that is the function of a compact. I would like to try another refill to see if this is just a one off.

I am a huge fan of La Prairie loose translucent powder and have been close to 10 years by now. But the new packaging is dissapointing - while it is great to have a smaller jar I can carry around, both big and small are designed rather inconveniently. I prefer brushes rather than sponges and found a small rounded one that fits into the smal jar - but both the mirror inside and the brush are constantly covered by powder. Shaking out some powder without putting it all over the mirror, the brush and yourself is nearly impossible.Using the big one is inconvenient too - the momment I tilt the jar to get some powder, it gets all over and under the small spoon attached inside the lid. Not very convenient - so obviously it was designed to be used only as a container for powder to replace it in the small jar. (Actually, I still have the old jar so I'll try and switch the lids - might be a solution..)The quality is still great, it is a fantastic product but the old range of colors was better - the new No 1 is definitely lighter and as a result, is visible on skin - the old one was much closer to a perfect natural skin color.I think I'll order myself a new "old" one :)

Lone Star Texas Estee Lauder Crystal Lucidity Powder Compact

From about 1996, a collectible Estee Lauder compact called Lone Star. This has the Texas flag, along with a cowboy boot in red, white and blue crystals on a brushed goldtone compact. This is filled with Lucidity Translucent pressed powder in the shade 11 Transparent. The puff is discolored from age, but the powder is perfect, and still has the plastic protective insert. We will enclose a new large boxed refill (06 Transparent) along with this compact, so you may change it out if you choose to use the compact, versus display only. It will also come with a velvet pouch and a gold gift box (not the original).
